Rooted in Arizona. Built on Passion. Dedicated to the Next Generation.
I grew up right here in the Ahwatukee Foothills of Phoenix, Arizona, where baseball wasn’t just a sport, it was part of everyday life. From long summer practices to dusty games under the desert sun, my love for the game started early and never faded.
I played for local club teams, learned teamwork and grit at Altadena Middle School, and sharpened my skills at Desert Vista High School, where I developed both the discipline and determination that set me apart on the mound.
After high school, I spent a season at Central Arizona College, continuing to refine my craft — and at just 19 years old, my lifelong dream came true when I was drafted by the Texas Rangers.
“I’ve been blessed with incredible coaches and mentors who pushed me to grow both as an athlete and a person.
My goal now is to be that same kind of influence and help kids find joy in the work, believe in their abilities, and carry those lessons with them long after they leave the field.”

The Heart Behind the Academy
A Coach Who Cares Beyond the Game
At the Michael Trausch Pitching Academy, the focus isn’t only on how hard a player can throw, it’s on who they’re becoming.
My approach blends mechanical precision, mental toughness, and character development, creating an environment where young athletes can thrive both on and off the mound.
Whether you are just learning to pitch or dreaming of the big leagues, I bring the experience, patience, and mentorship to help you take that next step.
From the ballfields of Ahwatukee to the minor leagues, my journey has come full circle. And now, I’m here to help young athletes write their own story, one pitch at a time.
Because when a young person learns to believe in themselves, they don’t just grow as a player, they grow as a human.
